For the 2006-2007 academic year, Tufts Democrats decided to make fundraising a priority for the club. We kicked things off with a parents weekend fundraising brunch to bring in auxiliary resources to put on events. The idea of a fundraising brunch was a great success, and we plan to put on a similar event this year during parents weekend. In response to our ambitious agenda of trips, speakers, and other club events for the upcoming 2007-2008 academic year, we decided to launch another fundraiser over the summer. This brought in almost two thousand dollars, which will be used for club t-shirts, buses to the headquarters of different campaigns in New Hampshire, and bringing more speakers to campus this year.
