[Dems Update] Dems Sunday Roundup
We have a great week ahead of us. First this Tuesday we have the honor of having U.S. Senate candidate Ed O'Reilly stopping by to tell us why he is running for Senate and how you can help him win the nomination. We have not had a Senate candidate come to a meeting before so you can imagine this is a very exciting first for the Tufts Democrats. Tuesday, Eaton 206 @ 9 pm.
Campaign Fundraiser for Carl Sciortino
Sunday, April 13th
3-5 pm
Orleans Restaurant
MA Rep and Tufts alum Carl Sciortino is raising money for reelection to the State House. He has been a loyal guide to the Democrats and he is asking for our help next Sunday. On April 13th Carl will be holding a Fundraiser at Orleans. It's free to attend but donations of $5, $10 or $15 are welcomed so Carl can raise money to fight off his primary challengers. We will head over there together Sunday and we'll send out another reminder later in the week.
Tufts Democrats Elections
Tuesday, April 15th
Last but certainly not least we have elections coming up. If you would like to run for President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary or Communications Director of the Tufts Democrats for next year, elections will be held on April 15th during our meeting. Candidates will be asked to make a 2-minute or less speech. Think about it and if you have any questions about the positions ask me

Description of positions:
President
• Head of organization
• Leads meetings
• Involved in everything. Please CC Courtney on any emails or correspondences you have concerning Dems so he can keep up with everything that is going on.
Vice President
• Helps oversee everything. Works with the President on the agenda.
Treasurer
• Budget
• Reimbursements
• Fiscal Responsibility
• Any interaction with the TCU Treasury stuff
Secretary
- Send Wednesday Wrap Up emails to Tufts Democrats email list
Communications
-Getting weekly meetings on Tuftslife, assisting with Tuftslife for other Dems events
-Updating the website (events, etc)
-Updating the email list with new members after each meeting/event
-Coordinating with other CDM, CDA, and other MA College Dems chapters.
