If you were wondering why we're headed to NH, Jack says it best:

As of today, there are eight days left until the election. A series of events that started back in December of 2006 is finally about to come to a conclusion. By next Tuesday, we will hopefully know that Barack Obama is headed to the White House.   And, while Tufts is in a solid blue state, our efforts in New Hampshire are extremely important. Consider this: in 2000, Al Gore lost New Hampshire by 7,000 votes. Had Gore's campaign been able to get more voters out to the polls, this country would be in infinitely better shaperight now.   Fast-forward three and a half years. Barack Obama is slated to win the January primaries, given his momentum from an unexpected Iowa victory. All of the polls have him leading. John Edwards has even gone so far as to say that Hillary Clinton is no longer a contender in the race. Against all odds, Hillary defeats him handily, shocking voters and the media alike.   The point is, no matter what the poll numbers are, and no matter how large the electorate is, it is essential that we do everything in our ability to make sure that New Hampshire's four electoral votes go to elect Barack. As of early October, predictions had placed the election at a 269-269 electoral tie, with New Hampshire in McCain's column. Remember, we don't want to wake up on November 5th wondering how we let our guard down.   This could be the state on which the entire election hinges, and our efforts could be just as pivotal. To demonstrate this, think about the 7,000 votes by which Gore lost, and at the same time picture the roughly 1,000 doors that Tufts and Brandeis students canvassed on Saturday alone.   That's why we need to show up in outstanding numbers for GOTV weekend! We've got a little over a week to help Barack lock this thing up, but if we are going to do it, we need everyone putting in hours. I know a lot of people have commitments and midterms coming up, but it is crucial that we all put in as much as we can.   ThAs of today, there are eight days left until the election.
